Studio Policies

​Assumption of Risk: 

  • I am aware and fully understand that there are risks and dangers including but not limited to those of bodily injury and partial or total disability in the following dance classes: tumbling, break dancing, Pilates and other various dance activities and events. The social and economic losses/or damages, which could result from these risks, could be severe. I understand that these risks and dangers may be caused by negligence of the participant or the negligence of others. There may be additional and unforeseeable risks. I accept and assume such risks and responsibilities for the lessees and/or damages following such injury and/or disability. However these injuries are caused/or claimed to be caused, in whole or in part by the negligence of INSPIRED MOVEMENT DANCE AND PERFORMING ARTS, its instructors, hosts, other participants, sponsors, advertisers, officers, and lessees on the premises used to conduct the event or activity and each of them, their officers, directors, agents, and employees.​​

Photography Waiver:

  • I understand that participants may be photographed or videotaped during the program. I give Inspired Movement permission to use such photos or videos for promotional purposes. 

  • If I prefer not to have my child partake in any promotional purposes, I will contact the studio by phone or email​

 

Class Cancellation Policy:

  • Students deciding not to continue with a class or session MUST notify the office by filling out a cancellation form. Parents will be required to fill out a cancellation form which MUST be received by us no later than the 5th day of the month prior to the month you want to cancel class, thereby releasing the parent from further tuition obligations.  Parents will be responsible for the balance of tuition, if any, when discontinuing services.

  • NO exceptions will be made. If you turn in the cancellation form after the 5th of the month, you will be required to pay tuition for the upcoming month. The following month classes will be discontinued.

  • Summer Camps & Intensives: Summer Camp, Intensive & Classes require a 50% deposit due day of registering - to secure dancers spot. Inspired Movement may be able to pro-rate fees for camps or intensives, please inquire before signing up. If a dancer needs to cancel from a camp or intensive up until the week prior to the event, they will be offered a 50% refund. Dancers canceling during the week of the event will not be given a refund.

Tardiness:

  • I understand that Inspired Movement adheres to a strict tardiness policy.  Out of respect for other students and to avoid disruption of the class, students arriving more than 10 minutes late may not be allowed to participate in class.

  • If you are running late please call the studio, so the office can notify the teacher​

Class Policies:

  • Ballet is required for enrollment in all Jazz, Lyrical and Contemporary Classes

  • Classes must have at least 5 dancers to run

  • Dancers may be placed in a level regardless of their age

  • If only 1-2 students attend a regularly scheduled class (designed for 5 or more students), the instructor may choose to instruct a 30-minute lesson in lieu of the full-length class

  • NO CELL PHONES! Students attending class MUST turn off and put away all cell phones and electronic devices while participating in class. This includes all rest/water breaks. Students that are tardy to class or leave class to use a cell phone or other electronic device during class without the consent of the Instructor will be removed from class immediately

  • MAKE UP CLASSES - Classes may be made up within 30 days of a missed class, but may not be applied to future tuition or transferred to another student. Missed classes may be made up in any class of any type, as long as the student stays within his/her level

  • RECITALS - An annual recital will be given and all students are invited to participate. It is not mandatory and a minimal recital fee per participant is charged. All registered students participating in the annual recital must be current in annual tuition prior to ticket sales. Any student not current in tuition for the referenced dance year will not be able to participate in the recital, regardless of any costs incurred by student, including but not limited to, recital fees, costume fees, photographs etc.
