Ashley lee

Contemporary, Jazz, Lyrical, & Technique

Ashley Lee is a native of San Diego, California and has taught at various studios and high schools throughout the San Diego and Orange County areas since a young age. She has won regional and national titles for high school, All-Star, and collegiate dance competitions. She is a four-time world champion in International Jazz and Pom. In her youth, Ashley participated in several parades, Holiday Bowl, and Super Bowl halftime shows.

 

For almost a decade, she spent her summers with the United Spirit Association touring, teaching, judging, and working as a Head Instructor. Ashley then continued her dance training and studied contemporary dance with Unity Dance Ensemble under the direction of Emmy Award Winning choreographer, Tessandra Chavez. From this opportunity, she learned and danced on stage with early contestants from Fox’s hit dance competition show, So You Think You Can Dance. Ashley helped as a demo/assistant for choreography under Tarua Hall and Tessandra Chavez for the television show "Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition."

 

In 2011, she graduated from San Diego State University receiving a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis on fitness, nutrition, and health. Most recently, she has become a certified yoga instructor through Corepower Yoga and uses all that she knows about anatomy, injury prevention, and balance to strengthen her students and their technical focus.
