Simone Swift

Hip Hop

Simone Swift is 26 years old and has been dancing since she was 6 years old. She didn't fall in love with it until she reached middle school when she watched her a dance production at her school, San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts. At SCPA she was trained in ballet, tap, jazz, and modern.

 

Once she graduated high school, she started training in Hip Hop at Grossmont college. From there, she joined a scholarship program at Culture Shock Dance Center and later began dancing with their professional Troupe as well as teaching Intermediate Hip Hop & Cardio Hip Hop classes.

 

In 2013, she became the Asst Director of Future Shock San Diego and played the role of the Rat Queen in Culture Shock's "Hip Hop Nutcracker". Today, she is the Head Director of Future Shock and apart of their Nutcracker show as the Rat Queen. Simone has been a Back-Up Dancer for the artist Baby Bash and has danced in several music videos with a variety of pop artists including Flo Rida and Far East Movement. In 2015 she also became the dance coach for Torrey Pines High School. She dances to inspire and to be inspired in hopes that she will be remembered for doing what she loves most.
