Security- Backstage/Dressing Rooms

• During the recital, ALL dancers need to remain backstage until after the final curtain. No exceptions. Dancers are required to be checked in backstage before the show. Child safety is our top priority. Please allow extra time in your schedule for drop off & pick up. Parent Volunteers will take care of dancers backstage and nobody else will be allowed backstage.

• Performers must arrive 45mins prior to show time.

Parent Volunteers

• Parent Volunteers will take care of performers backstage. If you need to be backstage with your child, please consider volunteering as a backstage mom.

• Please remember that no one other than performers and stage crew are allowed backstage at anytime. If you need to be backstage with your child, please consider volunteering as a Parent Volunteer. If you come backstage and you are not a parent volunteer, you will be asked to leave.

Auditorium & Audience Etiquette

• Auditorium doors open 30 min prior to show time. Seating is reserved.

• No flash photography or home video of any kind is allowed during the recital!  The show is being professionally filmed. This is dangerous and distracting for the performers and inconsiderate to the other audience members. We ask that you remain seated for the entire performance.  Please communicate with your guests that this is treated as a professional performance.  It is not proper to leave the theatre during a performance, of this type, unless it is an emergency.  It is disrespectful to the dancers and the people around you.

Acro Class Routine

Acro is in the recital this year, but will have rehearsals scheduled on select Saturdays. This is to keep the weekly classes moving forward with their skills. Dates for the Acro routine rehearsals are listed below. You are only allowed to miss 1 rehearsal. If you miss more than 1, they will be unable to participate in this routine.

• Ms. Kelly will assign dancers to either Group 1 (2:45-3:45) or Group 2 (3:45-4:45).

• Acro Rehearsal Dates: Feb 9th, March 9th, April 27th, May 11th, June 1st

 

Daddy & Daughter Dance

What a great way to bond with your dancer. Together they will learn a dance that they will perform during the June showcase. Rehearsal dates are: March 9th, April 20th, April 27th, May 11th, June 1st; Reh times TBD. See separate flyer for details & pricing.

Tickets and Recital Video Footage

• Tickets for recitals will be sold in 3 tiers in prices ranging from $25-$45 and can be purchased through the theater at the box office or online at artcenter.org. Tickets go on sale in May.

• FREE footage of each recital show! Footage will be emailed to all recital participants and is available through personal download. If outside family members wish to receive footage, they can purchase as well for $40. All dancers participating this year, will receive a FREE recital t-shirt. We would like all dancers to wear their t-shirt to the show and onstage for final bows! These will be passed out before the show.
