Originally a Pacific Northwest native from Hood River, Oregon, Nick moved to San Diego in the fall of 2009 to study (and eventually graduate with a B.A/B.S in) Electrical Engineering at the University of San Diego.
Despite only discovering his passion for the movement arts during his time in college, Nick has wasted little time in immersing himself in the Southern California dance scene, frequently attending classes and workshops while training in styles such as Hip Hop, House, and Popping.
Nick started his dance training as a scholarship dancer in 2012 at Culture Shock Dance Center, where he eventually became a part of the studio’s dance troupe. Since then, he has danced and trained at studios all around Southern California, with teams such as Tha Most, fellow IM instructor Teri Joaquin and The D.R.E.A.M.ers, C2C, and has also found opportunities to train abroad in Germany and Australia.
At the moment, Nick is a member of Major League Crew out of Music Learning Center in National City.
Outside of teaching, Nick works as a Manufacturing Engineer at Clarity Design in Rancho Bernardo. He loves food, music, his family, and enjoying the awesomeness of southern California with people he can laugh and make memories with.
